Placing your child in the water for the first time can feel scary. That’s why we invite parents to watch and offer a seating area near the pool.
If your child is struggling to bond with their instructor, we may ask you to stand out of sight of your child so that they can focus on their new skill. Remember, it can take 3-6 lessons for your child to bond with their instructor, so we want to give your child time to get comfortable in the water without you. After all, you won’t always be with them if they find a water source on their own.
Once your child is bonded with their instructor, you’re welcome to come closer to the pool and cheer for them as they master getting to their float!
